The Ajman Police have launched a crackdown on illegal practices in cigarette shops in Ajman, with inspectors going around to check for violations. Among the violations being monitored are selling tobacco products and e-cigarettes without a license and offering these items to minors under 18. Police are also ensuring that stores comply with rules such as putting up warning signs to prevent minors from entering and checking the ID of buyers to confirm their eligibility.

Residents are encouraged to report any violations they witness, specifically the selling of vapes, cigarettes, and other tobacco products without the necessary permits. Col Ahmed Saeed Al Naeemi, the director of the Department of Investigations and Criminal Investigations of Ajman Police, shared that the initiative aims not only to catch illegal sellers but also to promote smoking cessation and raise awareness of health risks, particularly those associated with e-cigarettes. Additionally, social media campaigns will be rolled out by the police to reach a wider audience.

The efforts of the Ajman Police in cracking down on illegal practices in cigarette shops serve to protect the health and well-being of residents, especially minors who may be targeted by illegal sellers. By enforcing strict regulations on the sale of tobacco products and e-cigarettes, authorities aim to curb smoking habits and raise awareness of the associated health risks. Residents are urged to support these initiatives by reporting any violations they witness, as this collective effort can help create a safer and healthier environment for the community as a whole.

Through social media campaigns and other outreach efforts, the Ajman Police are working to educate the public about the dangers of smoking and the importance of complying with regulations on the sale of tobacco products. By reaching a wider audience through online platforms, authorities hope to engage with the community and encourage individuals to make informed choices about their health and well-being. The collaborative approach taken by the police and residents in addressing these issues reflects a commitment to promoting a healthier lifestyle and a safer environment for all individuals in Ajman.

In conclusion, the crackdown on illegal practices in cigarette shops in Ajman is a proactive step taken by the authorities to protect residents from the harmful effects of smoking and the illegal sale of tobacco products.
