Are you a small business owner in Ras Al Khaimah looking to advertise on your company vehicles? In order to do so, you will need to obtain a permit from RAK Municipality. The process involves applying for the permit through the RAK Government website, logging in via UAE Pass, and paying the application fees through the website, smart application, or automated payment machines in the Customer Happiness Centres. The permit will typically be issued within 12 working days.

When applying for the permit, there are certain documents required, including proof of vehicle ownership, a vehicle registration card, a vehicle rental contract (if applicable), a copy of your trade license, a visualization of the advertisement, and a letter of authorization from the beneficiary to the advertising company to install the signboard. There are also different fees depending on the type of vehicle and the extent of the advertisement, ranging from Dh150 annually for a front door only advertisement to Dh1500 annually for a full advertisement on a heavy vehicle.

Some important points to note when applying for the permit include that the advertisement can be placed on all types of registered vehicles in the emirate, including cars, trucks, buses, and motorcycles. The application must be submitted through advertising companies registered with the municipality and the permit is valid for one year. The advertisement must also comply with certain guidelines, such as having the trade name on the advertising sign match that on the license, using both Arabic and English text, and ensuring the content does not conflict with Islamic law, values, customs, traditions, public etiquette, or public order.
