UAE schools have begun to receive results for the IB Diploma Programme, with students achieving exceptional scores significantly above the international average. Some standout performers include Jana Roy and Rashid Abbas from Dubai International Academy – Emirates Hills, with Roy scoring a full 45 points, a rare accomplishment achieved by only 0.1 per cent of students globally. Innoventures Education schools, such as DIA EH, Dubai International Academy – Al Barsha, and Raffles World Academy, demonstrated a strong performance with a 99.6 per cent pass rate and several students achieving 44 points.

The students’ success has not just been academic but has also led to admissions in prestigious universities around the world, including Stanford University, University of Oxford, and Columbia University. Reflecting on their achievements, both Roy and Abbas acknowledged the support of their teachers and the challenging yet rewarding journey they have experienced. Poonam Bhojani, CEO of Innoventures Education, attributed the students’ success to their hard work, dedication, and the support of their schools and parents.

Richard Drew, chair of the UAE IB Association, commended the students’ commitment and hard work towards their achievements, wishing them success in their future endeavors. With an average score of 33 points and a pass rate of 87 per cent, GEMS students surpassed the 2023 world averages in the DP exams. Dr. Saima Rana, Group Chief Education Officer at GEMS Education, expressed pride in the students’ achievements, emphasizing the school’s dedication to providing a quality education that prepares students for the future.

Additionally, 28 students from GEMS International School – Al Khail and GEMS Wellington International School achieved a perfect overall pass rate of 100 per cent in the Career-related Programme (CP) exams. Simon Herbert, Head of School/CEO at GEMS International School – Al Khail, praised the hard work and determination of the graduating CP class for their outstanding individual outcomes. Overall, the strong results achieved by UAE students in the IB exams showcase their dedication, hard work, and commitment to academic excellence, paving the way for bright futures and exciting opportunities.
