Ajman Transport Authority recently announced new taxi fare rates that will take effect from August 1st. The cab fare for the entire month of August will be Dh1.83 per kilometre, which is an increase of 1 fil from last month’s rate. This change reflects the recent increase in fuel prices by the UAE’s fuel price committee, with rates going up by up to 6 fils per litre compared to July.

The new petrol and diesel prices for August 2024 are as follows: Super 98 petrol will cost Dh3.05 per litre, Special 95 petrol will be Dh2.93 per litre, E-Plus 91 petrol will be Dh2.86 per litre, and diesel will be charged at Dh2.95 per litre. These rates will come into effect on August 1st, as announced by the UAE fuel price committee. Stay updated with the latest news by following KT on WhatsApp Channels.

In an effort to promote sustainability in transport, the Ajman Transport Authority has seen a 21% increase in the number of environmentally friendly vehicles in its taxi and limousine fleet during the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. The authority now has 2,231 eco-friendly vehicles in its fleet, catering to the rising demand from passengers seeking more sustainable travel options.

By expanding the fleet of eco-friendly taxis and limousines, the Ajman Transport Authority is not only contributing to environmental preservation but also meeting the needs of passengers who prefer sustainable transportation options.
