Flights between the UAE and Germany were not disrupted by the temporary closure of Munich International Airport, according to reports confirmed by UAE carriers. Both Emirates and Etihad Airways stated that their flights operated on schedule with no delays or diversions. The airport had to be closed for security reasons when climate activists appeared to have attached themselves to the taxiways. Some flights were cancelled or diverted, but the runways were reopened after a few hours.

The incident occurred during one of the airport’s busiest travel periods in southern Germany, resulting in the arrest of eight climate activists involved in the breach. The group responsible for the action, Last Generation, has been known to carry out similar protests in the past. The activists were seen on the runway with protest signs, causing disruptions and leading to their arrest.

Despite the temporary closure of Munich International Airport, UAE carriers were able to continue their operations without any issues. Both Emirates and Etihad Airways ensured that their flights were not affected and operated as scheduled. The airport’s closure was due to security concerns after climate activists caused disruptions, resulting in flight cancellations and diversions. The situation was resolved after a few hours, allowing the airport to resume normal operations.

The climate activists involved in the incident were arrested for their actions, disrupting the airport during a busy travel period. Last Generation, the group responsible for the protest, has a history of carrying out similar demonstrations. The activists were seen on the runway with protest signs, leading to the temporary closure of the airport and inconveniencing travelers. Despite the disruptions, UAE carriers were able to maintain their flight schedules and continue operations without any delays or diversions.

This incident highlights the importance of security measures at airports to ensure the safety and efficiency of air travel. Climate activists must find peaceful ways to protest without causing disruptions or endangering the lives of passengers. The swift action taken by airport authorities and law enforcement resulted in the timely resolution of the situation, allowing flights to resume after a brief interruption. Passengers can rest assured that UAE carriers prioritized their safety and comfort during this challenging time. By staying updated on the latest news and following reliable sources, travelers can stay informed about any potential disruptions and plan their journeys accordingly.
