The UAE mission in Kerala has issued a caution to its citizens in India due to heavy rains in the northern part of the state. The Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates Kerala advised nationals to avoid high places, valleys, and waterfalls. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of following safety instructions from authorities and provided emergency helpline numbers. Citizens were also encouraged to register for the Tawajodi service. Stay updated with the latest news by following KT on WhatsApp Channels.

More than 70 people lost their lives in landslides in Kerala’s Wayanad, with around 116 individuals sustaining injuries. Rescue operations were hindered as a main bridge collapsed in the region. To address this issue, army engineers were called in to construct an alternate bridge. The lack of internet connectivity further complicated rescue efforts. An official mourning period has been declared in the state for today and tomorrow.

In times of natural disasters such as heavy rains and landslides, it is crucial for individuals to take caution and heed the warnings issued by authorities. Ensuring the safety of citizens should be a top priority, and it is commendable that the UAE mission in Kerala is actively communicating with its nationals to provide guidance and support during these challenging times. With the establishment of emergency helplines and registration for services like Tawajodi, citizens can access assistance quickly and efficiently.

The devastation caused by the recent landslides in Kerala highlights the importance of disaster preparedness and response efforts. It is essential for communities to work together, with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and international partners collaborating to provide aid and support to those affected. The involvement of army engineers in building an alternate bridge showcases the swift response to address infrastructure damages and facilitate rescue operations in the region.

As rescue efforts continue in Kerala, it is crucial for citizens to remain vigilant and stay informed about the latest updates. Following news outlets like KT on WhatsApp Channels can provide real-time information on the situation and any developments in the ongoing rescue operations. By staying connected and informed, individuals can better understand the impact of the disaster and contribute to relief efforts by spreading awareness and support for those affected.

The call for caution and assistance from the UAE mission in Kerala serves as a reminder of the importance of community solidarity and international collaboration during times of crisis. By coming together and supporting one another, we can overcome the challenges posed by natural disasters and work towards rebuilding and recovery. The solidarity shown by the UAE in reaching out to its citizens in India exemplifies a commitment to the well-being and safety of all individuals, irrespective of borders and nationalities.
