Flydubai has announced changes to its flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh, with revised departure times for flights FZ 501 and FZ 502. Due to the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, Flydubai flights will operate at 7am from Dubai International instead of 12.10am, and return flights will leave at 3pm from Dhaka Airport. The airline is monitoring the situation closely and in touch with customers regarding flight bookings. Meanwhile, Emirates flights to Dhaka are operating as scheduled.

Bangladesh declared a curfew and deployed military forces after police were unable to control days of violent unrest that has left at least 110 people dead. The government is facing protests demanding the removal of preferential hiring rules for civil service jobs. The situation in Bangladesh has caused concern among Bangladeshi expats in the UAE as communication lines are disrupted and Internet services have been shut down. The violent clashes between protesters and police have escalated, causing anxiety for families back home.

The changes to Flydubai flights to Dhaka come in response to the unstable situation in Bangladesh, with the airline prioritizing the safety and well-being of its passengers. The revised departure times aim to ensure a smooth travel experience for customers during this period of uncertainty. Flydubai is liaising with customers to keep them informed about any further developments or changes to flight schedules as the situation unfolds.

Emirates has confirmed that its flights to Dhaka are unaffected by the unrest in Bangladesh, with operations continuing as scheduled. This provides reassurance to passengers traveling to Bangladesh or those with family members in the country during this challenging time. The airline is closely monitoring the situation and will inform customers of any updates related to their flights, ensuring transparency and clear communication throughout.

The imposition of a curfew and deployment of military forces in Bangladesh highlights the severity of the situation, with the government taking measures to restore order and ensure the safety of its citizens. The protests and violence in the country have resulted in a significant loss of life and widespread disruption. The Bangladeshi expat community in the UAE is deeply concerned about the well-being of their families and loved ones in Bangladesh, with limited means of communication exacerbating their worries.

As the unrest in Bangladesh continues, Flydubai and Emirates are actively managing their flight operations to and from Dhaka to accommodate the changing circumstances. Passengers are advised to stay updated on the latest developments and to reach out to the airlines for any assistance or information regarding their travel plans. The safety and security of passengers remain a top priority for both airlines, and they are committed to providing support and guidance to their customers during this challenging period.
