The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) recently issued alerts for various weather conditions affecting the United Arab Emirates. The horizontal visibility was reduced to less than 3000 metres over Al Maktoum International Airport, prompting the NCM to issue a warning. Additionally, the department issued a yellow alert for winds reaching up to 40kmph and rough sea conditions in the Oman Sea. The alert was in effect from 1pm on Saturday to 1pm on Sunday, August 18.

An orange alert has also been issued by the NCM for fresh winds causing blowing dust and reducing horizontal visibility. The alert, active from 11.39am to 8pm on the same day, warns residents of potential hazards. Earlier, the met also issued a yellow alert for dust and wind, indicating the changing weather patterns in the region.

In response to the weather alerts, Abu Dhabi Police advised motorists to exercise caution due to reduced visibility during the fog. On top of reduced visibility, light rains and heavy drizzles were reported in some parts of the UAE. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the latest weather updates to ensure their safety and well-being during adverse weather conditions.

The NCM previously issued a red alert, signaling a deterioration in horizontal visibility. This alert was active until 8.30 in the morning, emphasizing the importance of being aware of changing weather conditions. With various alerts being issued by the NCM, it is crucial for residents to stay prepared and take necessary precautions to mitigate any potential risks associated with the changing weather.

The alerts issued by the NCM serve as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of weather in the UAE. By staying up to date with the latest news and following official channels, residents can stay informed about any potential risks associated with adverse weather conditions. It is important to be proactive and prepared for changing weather patterns to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in the region.

With weather conditions constantly evolving, it is essential for residents to heed the advice and alerts issued by the NCM and other official authorities. By taking proactive measures and adhering to safety guidelines, individuals can minimize the impact of adverse weather conditions. Stay connected with official sources of information and remain prepared to handle any challenges that may arise due to fluctuations in weather patterns.
