ADNOC, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, has recently entered into a collaboration with Nafis to create 13,500 new jobs for UAE nationals in ADNOC’s supply chain by 2028. This partnership aligns with the UAE’s goal of generating 100,000 private sector jobs for Emiratis over the next three years and will focus on creating high-skilled positions in advanced sectors such as artificial intelligence, engineering, and manufacturing.

Through this agreement, Emiratis in the Al Dhafra region will be offered job and training opportunities starting this year. Additionally, ADNOC will provide 1,000 vocational training opportunities for UAE university graduates in private companies operating within ADNOC’s supply chain through Nafis’s Apprentice Programme. This initiative aims to upskill local talent and empower them to contribute to the UAE’s industrial and economic growth.

Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC, emphasized the company’s commitment to nurturing and empowering local talent. He highlighted the impact of ADNOC’s In-Country Value (ICV) program, which has already created 11,500 jobs for Emiratis in the private sector since its inception in 2018. The new collaboration with Nafis further reinforces ADNOC’s dedication to providing private-sector job opportunities for UAE nationals.

With the extension of the ICV program, ADNOC aims to partner with more local and international companies to empower the next generation of Emirati entrepreneurs, micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (mSMEs), and talented UAE nationals. The focus sectors for this expansion include advanced technology such as artificial intelligence, manufacturing, transportation, and lower-carbon solutions. The overall goal is to enhance the country’s self-sufficiency and promote economic growth through talent development and job creation.

This new agreement with Nafis will increase the total private sector jobs created by ADNOC to 25,000 by 2028, further supporting the UAE’s efforts to boost employment opportunities for Emiratis. By accelerating talent development and expanding the scope of its ICV program, ADNOC is taking proactive steps to advance the country’s economic diversification and ensure a secure and reliable supply of energy to the global market. The partnership with Nafis reflects ADNOC’s continued commitment to promoting local talent and creating sustainable job opportunities for UAE nationals.
