Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week (ADGHW) is set to take place for the first time and is organized by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. This event aims to bring together health ministers, global policymakers, innovators, researchers, investors, and entrepreneurs to discuss the shift from healthcare to health. Dr Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of DoH – Abu Dhabi, highlights the importance of this transition towards promoting holistic health and wellness rather than just treating illnesses reactively.

The event will focus on personalized precision care, the biotech revolution, the power of data and AI in healthcare, and tech-enabled new models of care. The goal is to create a collective vision for the future of global health by fostering dialogue, anticipating healthcare demands, and shifting towards proactive care. With about 5,000 attendees, 1,000 delegates, 200 speakers, and 100 exhibitors expected, the event will address pressing global healthcare challenges and promote cross-sector collaboration to find actionable solutions.

The Health Leaders’ Forum will be structured around topics such as public-private partnerships, technology, AI, and innovation, global health equity and sustainability, and ethics and standards. The Future Health Summit will feature keynote speeches, panel sessions, and discussions on various themes central to the healthcare industry, from AI to microbiomes, regenerative medicine, longevity, genomics, and precision medicine. The event will also showcase collaborations with key strategic partners in the healthcare ecosystem, including M42, PureHealth, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Burjeel Holdings, and more.

Dr Al Ghaithi emphasizes the need for a robust ecosystem that enables prevention, early detection, and medical intervention as needed. The event aims to anticipate future healthcare demands and co-design a healthcare system that focuses on outcomes and is equipped with innovative and agile infrastructure. By bringing together global healthcare research, innovation, and investment communities, the event seeks to create a bold vision for the future of global health and address critical issues through collaboration.

The theme of the event is “Accelerating the future of global healthcare,” signaling a shift towards proactive care and a broader understanding of health. With a focus on fostering dialogue, exchanging insights, and embracing innovative models of care, the event aims to fuel discussions on the most pressing global healthcare challenges. Through partnerships, collaborations, and actionable strategies, the event seeks to create impact on an individual, community, and global level in the healthcare industry.

The organizers of ADGHW are working with key strategic partners to bring the vision of better health to life. With a diverse range of speakers, panel sessions, and discussions, the event will offer valuable insights into the future of healthcare and provide a platform for stakeholders to come together and shape the future of global health. Dr Al Ghaithi looks forward to welcoming attendees to Abu Dhabi to create a collective vision for a brighter future of global health, highlighting the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving positive change in the healthcare industry.
