The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ in Doha, Qatar recently announced the closure of two lanes on Al Gharrafa Street towards Al Rayyan from Duhail Interchange. This decision was made in order to facilitate road maintenance work as part of the Duhail Interchange and Al Gharrafa Street project. The closure will take effect from July 19, 2024, until August 22, 2024. Despite the closure, two lanes will remain open to traffic to minimize disruptions for commuters.

During this period, Ashghal has urged all road users to adhere to the permitted speed limits and follow the directional signs for their safety. By following these guidelines, drivers can ensure a smooth flow of traffic and minimize the risk of accidents. It is crucial for motorists to exercise caution and remain vigilant while navigating through the construction zone. Cooperation and compliance with road regulations are essential to ensure the safety of both drivers and construction workers.

The closure of two lanes on Al Gharrafa Street will undoubtedly cause some inconvenience for commuters during the specified period. Ashghal is working diligently to minimize disruptions and ensure that the project is completed within the scheduled timeframe. The cooperation and understanding of road users are greatly appreciated as these essential road improvements are carried out.

As part of its commitment to transparency and accountability, Ashghal will continue to provide updates and relevant information regarding the progress of the road maintenance work on Al Gharrafa Street. Regular communication with the public is key to ensuring that road users are informed about any changes or developments that may affect their daily commute.
