Dubai-managed Spaniard Nacho Elvira is set to play in the European Open in Germany on the DP World Tour, along with other golfers from the Emirates. Elvira, who recently won the Soudal Open, is currently ninth in the Race to Dubai standings and is managed by Dubai resident Richard Rayment. Elvira’s victory last week also catapulted him to the top of the European Swing on the DP World Tour after just one event. Each of the Swings on the tournament calendar offers winners a $200,000 bonus and exemptions to various events.

In the realm of ladies’ golf, the 79th US Women’s Open is set to take place at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania, offering the richest purse in women’s golf of $12 million. This Major event is the oldest of the five Majors in women’s golf, with Women’s World Number One Nelly Korda being a major favorite to win. Korda has been in exceptional form, winning six out of her last seven events, solidifying her position as the top competitor in women’s golf.

The DP World Tour continues in Germany with the European Open, featuring prominent players such as Danny Willett, who recently made the cut at The Masters. Other notable players in the field include Dubai-based Garrick Porteous, representing Trump International Golf Club, Dubai, and Adri Arnaus, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Ewen Ferguson, Nico Colsaerts, and Paul Waring, representing Jumeirah Golf Estates. The tournament promises to be an exciting event with the top players in the world competing for the title.

The DP World Tour’s new tournament calendar offers various opportunities for players to earn bonuses and exemptions by winning the Swings. Elvira’s victory at the Soudal Open not only moved him up to ninth in the Race to Dubai standings but also elevated his position to 132nd on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). With top players like Elvira and Willett in the lineup, the competition at the European Open is expected to be fierce, providing golf fans with an entertaining tournament to watch.

The golf schedule for the coming week includes the RBC Canadian Open on the PGA Tour, the European Open on the DP World Tour, and the US Women’s Open on the LPGA and Ladies European Tour. These events offer substantial purses for the players, with the US Women’s Open boasting the highest prize money of $12 million. With top players competing across different tours, golf enthusiasts can look forward to an action-packed week of competitive golf and exciting matchups on the course.

Overall, the golf scene is buzzing with excitement as top players from around the world gather to compete in prestigious events such as the European Open and the US Women’s Open. With players like Elvira and Korda showcasing their skills and vying for top honors, the tournaments promise to be thrilling and full of intense competition.
