The General Directorate of Traffic in Doha recently opened an awareness exhibition to celebrate Arab Traffic Week. The event was attended by top officials such as Brigadier Jamal Mohammed A Shraim and Colonel Jaber Mohammed Odaiba, showing the commitment of the Ministry of Interior to promoting road safety. The aim of the exhibition is to increase awareness about traffic rules and etiquette among all road users.

Colonel Jaber Mohammed Odaiba emphasized the importance of the General Directorate of Traffic’s participation in Arab Traffic Week every year. This is part of their efforts to engage with Arab traffic systems and educate the public on safe driving practices. The ultimate goal is to establish a culture of safe driving through direct communication with various social groups and providing them with essential information on road safety.

The General Directorate of Traffic has a comprehensive awareness plan in place to achieve its goal of promoting road safety. They aim to communicate with all segments of society and provide them with the necessary knowledge on traffic rules. By doing so, they hope to elevate road safety standards and reduce road accidents in the country.

The exhibition features participation from various departments and organizations such as Civil Defense, Ministry of Interior’s Medical Service Department, Juvenile Police Department, and Ambulance Service. These organizations showcase safety tools for driving, first aid basics in traffic accidents, vehicle inspection requirements, ambulance service procedures, and driving school procedures.

The exhibition serves as a platform to educate the public on various aspects of road safety. It provides valuable information on the importance of carrying safety tools in vehicles, how to administer first aid in emergencies, and the procedures for technical vehicle inspections. Additionally, it offers awareness messages on traffic safety rules and requirements to help road users navigate the roads safely.

Overall, the General Directorate of Traffic’s participation in Arab Traffic Week highlights their commitment to promoting road safety in Qatar. By engaging with various stakeholders and educating the public through exhibitions like these, they hope to create a safer environment for all road users. Through these efforts, they aim to raise awareness about traffic rules and encourage responsible driving practices in the community.
