The Third Forum on School Administration in Muscat kicked off today under the theme “Leadership and Sustainable Educational Visions,” with Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, as the patron. The event, organized by the Ministry of Education, aims to bring together over 1,800 school principals, senior supervisors, and educational leaders from both public and private schools in Oman.

The opening ceremony featured presentations on both local and international experiences in educational technology and supervisory administration. Dr. Sulaiman Abdullah Al Jamoudi, Chairman of the Forum’s Main Committee, highlighted the importance of effective school administration in ensuring the efficiency of the educational process and achieving sustainability in the school environment. He emphasized the critical role school administrators play in providing educational services to students during times of study suspension, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, through innovative educational strategies and e-learning initiatives.

During the first day of the forum, participants engaged in dialogue sessions focusing on future skills and innovation culture among school leaders, as well as strengthening governance culture in school administrations to enhance school performance. The program also included discussions on school-based development initiatives, such as the TAMAM Project, and explored the role of artificial intelligence applications in improving the educational process. Additionally, topics related to enhancing school leadership during crises and managing emergency situations, particularly climatic events, were addressed.

Overall, the School Administration Forum serves as a platform for educators and administrators to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices in school leadership and management. The forum’s emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement reflects Oman’s commitment to quality education and meeting the evolving needs of its students and communities. Through collaborative efforts and the adoption of new technologies and strategies, school administrators play a crucial role in shaping the future of education in Oman and ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students.
