The Third Edition of the Research Skills Forum Has Been Launched

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in Muscat has launched the 3rd edition of the Research Skills Forum in collaboration with the Arab Open University. The forum, aimed at postgraduate students, consists of training sessions and workshops focusing on developing and enhancing research skills. Haitham Saleh Al Ya’arubi stated that the forum is part of the Ministry’s efforts to support scholarly research and improve research capabilities. The students will be equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge for conducting high-quality research that contributes to enriching knowledge.

Dr. Sami Khater Al Mazru’ee, Assistant Dean of the College of Education at the Arab Open University, highlighted that the forum emphasizes qualitative research over quantitative research. The forum covers various topics related to research skills required for qualitative research, with a focus on helping students meet high quality standards for Master’s and doctoral degree research. Out of 130 researchers who submitted papers, 76 were selected based on high-quality standards and divided into two groups of 38 each. The forum provides students with the opportunity to interact with senior researchers and exchange ideas, benefiting students and contributing to specialized academic research.

The Research Skills Forum in Muscat is an essential platform for postgraduate students to enhance their research skills and capabilities. The forum offers a wide range of training sessions and workshops to help students conduct high-quality research that contributes to the enrichment of knowledge. Haitham Saleh Al Ya’arubi emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to supporting scholarly research and improving research capabilities among students. The forum aims to equip students with the necessary tools and knowledge required for conducting top-quality research.

Dr. Sami Khater Al Mazru’ee highlighted the focus on qualitative research at the forum and the importance of addressing research skills needed for conducting such research. The forum provides an opportunity for students to interact with senior researchers and exchange ideas, contributing to specialized academic research. Out of 130 researchers who submitted papers, 76 were selected based on high quality standards for Master’s and doctoral degree research. The researchers were divided into two groups to participate in various sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing their research skills.

Postgraduate students participating in the Research Skills Forum in Muscat will benefit from the opportunity to develop and enhance their research skills. The forum, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in collaboration with the Arab Open University, aims to support scholarly research and raise the level of research capabilities among students. Dr. Sami Khater Al Mazru’ee emphasized the focus on qualitative research and the importance of addressing research skills required for such research. The forum provides students with the tools and knowledge necessary for conducting high-quality research and enriching knowledge.
