The Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force in Qatar, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, recently chaired a meeting for the general referendum committee on proposed constitutional amendments. The focus of the meeting was on discussing the legal frameworks and regulatory procedures necessary for the upcoming referendum, as well as the logistical means to ensure a smooth voting process for Qatari citizens.

The committee’s objective is to prepare for the referendum and ensure that all necessary measures are in place to facilitate Qataris’ participation in voting on the proposed constitutional amendments. This includes ensuring that the legal frameworks are clear and well-defined, and that regulatory procedures are followed to maintain the integrity of the voting process.

One of the key topics discussed during the meeting was the logistical means that will be put in place to streamline the voting process for Qatari citizens. This includes setting up polling stations in convenient locations, providing adequate information on the proposed constitutional amendments, and ensuring that all necessary resources are in place to support a smooth voting process.

The meeting highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring that the referendum on the proposed constitutional amendments is conducted in a transparent and efficient manner. By focusing on the legal frameworks, regulatory procedures, and logistical means necessary for the voting process, the committee aims to uphold the integrity of the referendum and ensure that all Qatari citizens have the opportunity to participate.

Overall, the first meeting of the general referendum committee on the proposed constitutional amendments in Qatar was a productive session that laid the foundation for the preparations leading up to the referendum. With a focus on legal frameworks, regulatory procedures, and logistical means, the committee is working towards ensuring a smooth and efficient voting process for Qatari citizens, ultimately upholding the integrity of the referendum and the democratic principles of the country.
