Manchester City is on the cusp of making history with a potential fourth consecutive Premier League title. As they head into the final day of the season with a two-point lead over Arsenal, the pressure is on for both teams, with City needing only a win against West Ham to secure the title. Arsenal, hosting Everton in their final game, have been in impressive form with 15 wins and one draw in 17 league matches, but a crucial defeat against Aston Villa has put City in the driving seat.

City’s dominance under Pep Guardiola has been undeniable, with the team dropping just six points since mid-December. Despite criticisms of the Premier League becoming less competitive due to City’s financial backing, Guardiola has refuted claims that their success is solely due to money. The pressure is on for Arsenal, who must win against Everton and hope for a City slip-up to end their 20-year wait for the title. Manager Mikel Arteta remains optimistic, emphasizing the importance of living in the moment and keeping the dream alive.

Meanwhile, Manchester United faces the possibility of missing out on European football altogether after a disappointing season. Liverpool, despite an emotional farewell to Jurgen Klopp, will finish third regardless of their result against Wolves. The battle for European spots is heating up, with Tottenham needing just a point against Sheffield United to secure fifth place, and Chelsea aiming for a top-six finish against Bournemouth.

At the bottom of the table, Luton faces relegation unless they can secure a win against Fulham or if Nottingham Forest avoid defeat. The final day fixtures will determine the fate of these teams, with Luton needing a miracle to survive. The top six teams all have their European spots secured, with the seventh spot potentially enough if Manchester United doesn’t upset City in the FA Cup final.

As the Premier League season comes to a thrilling climax, all eyes will be on the final day fixtures to see if Manchester City can secure their historic fourth title or if Arsenal can pull off a miraculous comeback. The competitiveness of the league continues to be questioned, but the drama and excitement of the title race prove that anything can happen on the final day of the season. Whether it’s City’s relentless pursuit of success or Arsenal’s last-chance effort to claim the title, football fans can expect an exhilarating finish to an unforgettable season.
