The 10th World Conference of Young Parliamentarians recently took place in Yerevan, Armenia, with representatives from the Shura Council in attendance. During his address, H E Mohammed bin Omar Al Mannai emphasized the Shura Council’s commitment to education and highlighted their focus on harnessing technology, aligning academic specializations with labor market demands, and empowering national talents.
Al Mannai also referenced the Shura Council’s efforts in job localization within the private sector, which aims to enhance national competencies and create sustainable job opportunities for Qatari youth. On the sidelines of the conference, Al Mannai held bilateral meetings with key figures, including President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, H E Tulia Akson, Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, H E Elen Simonyan, Deputy Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, H E Edin Derlic, and Member of the Armenian National Assembly, H E Vahagn Aleksanyan. These meetings focused on parliamentary cooperation and ways to strengthen ties, along with discussions on key issues raised during the conference. Al Mannai also chaired a meeting with representatives of Gulf, Scandinavian, and Nordic countries, highlighting the importance of enhancing cooperation between Gulf parliaments and their Scandinavian counterparts.
