Sharjah plans to construct new nurseries to address shortage within 2 months

In a recent announcement, Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, stated that all newly registered children in Sharjah nurseries will be provided with seats. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for nursery places in the emirate. As part of this plan, new nurseries will be built and the capacity expanded, with an additional 446 seats set to be provided during July and August.

Registration in government nurseries in Sharjah has already closed with 1,781 applicants, while only 1,335 seats are currently available. To meet the demand for nursery places, the government plans to build new nurseries and increase capacity. The Sharjah Ruler emphasized the importance of nurseries in providing a safe and educational environment for children. He highlighted that children in Sharjah nurseries follow a sophisticated curriculum developed in partnership with European partners.

Sheikh Dr Sultan reassured parents that their children will get a seat in the nurseries despite the high demand for places. The announcement was made through the “Direct Line” program broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television. The additional 446 seats will be provided in the next two months through the construction of new nurseries.
