Saudi students have once again demonstrated their exceptional talent on the world stage, as they secured a total of 114 medals, grand, and individual awards at the largest international competitions for science, engineering, invention, and innovation, ISEF 2024 and ITEX 2024. This impressive achievement showcases the Kingdom’s commitment to nurturing its youth in alignment with the Human Capability Development Program and Saudi Vision 2030. The Ministry of Education, in partnership with organizations such as the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), Tuwaiq Academy, and Misk Schools, has played a pivotal role in preparing these students for success on a global scale.

At the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2024) in Los Angeles, Saudi participants stood out by winning a total of 27 awards, including 9 individual and 18 grand awards. Among the notable winners were Hamad Al-Husseini and Abeer Al-Yousef, who secured second place in the Energy and Chemistry categories, respectively. This strong showing at ISEF 2024 not only highlights the talent of Saudi students in the fields of science and engineering but also underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence among its youth.

In addition to their success at ISEF 2024, Saudi students also excelled at the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) in Malaysia, where they clinched a total of 87 gold and silver medals across 48 projects. Students from various educational institutions across the country showcased their creativity and ingenuity, with prominent winners including Lamia Al-Otaibi, Muhammad Abu Ghandar, and Al-Sadeem Al-Odaibi. This impressive showing at ITEX further solidifies Saudi Arabia’s reputation as a hub of innovation and highlights the high level of competitiveness and talent of its students on the global stage.

The Kingdom’s continued success at international competitions like ISEF and ITEX not only brings home prestigious awards but also serves as a testament to the exceptional skills and capabilities of Saudi youth. By providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and fostering a supportive environment for innovation and creativity, the Ministry of Education and its partners are helping to shape the future leaders of the Kingdom. This commitment to nurturing talent and promoting excellence is in line with the goals of the Human Capability Development Program and Saudi Vision 2030, which aim to empower the youth and drive innovation and growth in key sectors of the economy.

As Saudi students continue to shine on the global stage, their achievements serve as an inspiration to future generations and underscore the Kingdom’s dedication to investing in its human capital. By participating in international competitions and showcasing their skills and talents, Saudi youth are not only gaining valuable experience and recognition but also contributing to the advancement of science, technology, and innovation on a global scale. The success of students like Hamad Al-Husseini, Abeer Al-Yousef, Lamia Al-Otaibi, Muhammad Abu Ghandar, and Al-Sadeem Al-Odaibi is a testament to the bright future that lies ahead for Saudi Arabia as it continues to nurture and support its young innovators and leaders.
