The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, recently expressed his concerns about the ongoing aggression and violation of international laws by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, as well as continuous aid delivery to the region. During a meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Bahrain, Prince Faisal stressed the importance of finding a credible path to a two-state solution for the Palestinian people. Saudi Arabia has been working with friendly countries to mobilize international support to stop the attacks and support the Palestinian people.

Prince Faisal also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s efforts in enhancing joint Arab action and coordination among member states to address regional and international challenges. He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to achieving peace in Yemen through dialogue and consultation between Yemeni parties. Additionally, Prince Faisal expressed deep concern over the ongoing military operations in Sudan and called for a political solution to spare the Sudanese people from further suffering. He stressed that the solution to the Sudanese crisis should be Sudanese-led and respect the country’s sovereignty and unity.

The Saudi minister also discussed the importance of achieving security and stability in Syria, respecting its sovereignty and territorial unity, and facilitating the voluntary and safe return of refugees. He pledged support for the Lebanese people and urged political and economic reforms to overcome the country’s crises. Prince Faisal called for security and stability in Libya, emphasizing the need to ensure its sovereignty and independence while ending interference in its internal affairs. He also expressed hope for a future of security and stability in Somalia.

During the meeting, the Arab foreign ministers are reviewing the draft agenda and resolutions for the upcoming Arab League Summit. Prince Faisal’s remarks underscore the Kingdom’s commitment to defending Arab causes, promoting peace, stability, and development in the region, and working towards a comprehensive political solution to regional conflicts. Saudi Arabia’s efforts in mobilizing international support for the Palestinian people and advocating for peace in Yemen, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, and Somalia demonstrate the Kingdom’s dedication to promoting security and stability in the region.
