Saudi Cabinet reviews advancements in Vision 2030, international partnerships, and important agreements

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired the Cabinet session in Jeddah, where the progress of Saudi Vision 2030 programs was reviewed. The Cabinet praised achievements in housing and health sectors, highlighting increased homeownership rates and healthcare accessibility. Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary noted the Kingdom’s high rankings in labor-market indicators by the World Economic Forum, with the number of Saudi workers in the private sector rising from 1.7 million in 2019 to over 2.3 million in 2024.The Cabinet also discussed Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup, showcasing the Kingdom’s leadership. Additionally, the Cabinet celebrated the inclusion of the Cultural Landscape of Al-Faw Archaeological Area in Riyadh to the UNESCO World Heritage List, fulfilling a goal of Vision 2030.

Internationally, the Cabinet highlighted efforts to enhance bilateral and multilateral relations, including participation in G20 meetings to support sustainable development goals. The Cabinet welcomed the outcomes of the second consultative meeting on peace initiatives in Sudan and reiterated support for resolving the crisis and restoring stability. Support for Yemen was also emphasized, encouraging de-escalation of tensions and achieving a political solution within the UN framework. The importance of international cooperation in combating drug-related crimes was also highlighted, with successful security campaigns in this area.

The Cabinet approved several decisions, including memorandums of understanding with various countries and organizations. These agreements aimed to enhance cooperation in various areas such as foreign affairs, tourism, investment promotion, economic planning, and cultural cooperation. The approval of agreements in air transport services and cooperation in accounting and auditing further emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to global partnerships. The Cabinet also approved the product safety system, standards and quality system, and granted authority to the General Authority for Awqaf to invest real-estate funds for public benefit.

In conclusion, the Cabinet session in Jeddah under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman highlighted the Kingdom’s progress in various sectors, including housing, health, and labor markets. The successful inclusion of the Cultural Landscape of Al-Faw Archaeological Area in Riyadh to the UNESCO World Heritage List was a significant achievement in fulfilling the goals of Vision 2030. The Cabinet’s commitment to enhancing international relations through various agreements and partnerships demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s dedication to global cooperation and development. The decision to host the 2034 World Cup and support peace initiatives in Sudan and Yemen further showcases the Kingdom’s leadership on the international stage. The approval of various agreements and memorandums of understanding reflects the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen ties with other countries and organizations across different sectors.
