The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) in Saudi Arabia has reported that the impact of the global technical disruptions on national entities in the country has been minimal. The disruptions were caused by a technical glitch in an update released by CrowdStrike early Friday morning. The proactive measures being taken by the authority, with strong support from the leadership, include monitoring and responding to cyber threats. These efforts aim to enhance national capabilities and technical sovereignty to ensure the security and reliability of the Kingdom’s cyberspace, protecting national entities and critical infrastructure.

Matarat Holding company has announced that operations have returned to normal at several airports in Saudi Arabia, including King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and Cluster 2 Airports. This follows earlier disruptions caused by the global technical outage. Travelers are advised to contact airlines for updates on their flights and review the passenger rights charter approved by the General Authority of Civil Aviation to ensure a smooth travel experience during this time.

The NCA continues to work diligently to address cyber threats and ensure the security of national entities in Saudi Arabia. The cybersecurity standards implemented by the authority have played a crucial role in bolstering the security and reliability of the Kingdom’s cyberspace. With strong support from the leadership, proactive measures are in place to monitor and respond to cyber threats effectively, demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding national entities and critical infrastructure from potential cybersecurity risks.

The technical glitch in the update released by CrowdStrike resulted in global technical disruptions that impacted national entities in Saudi Arabia. However, thanks to the proactive measures taken by the NCA and the strong support from the leadership, the impact on national entities has been minimal. The authority’s efforts to enhance national capabilities and technical sovereignty have been instrumental in protecting the Kingdom’s cyberspace and critical infrastructure, ensuring the security and reliability of national entities during this challenging time.

Matarat Holding company’s announcement that operations have returned to normal at several airports in Saudi Arabia is a positive development following the earlier disruptions caused by the global technical outage. Travelers are advised to stay informed by contacting their airlines for updates on their flights and reviewing the passenger rights charter approved by the General Authority of Civil Aviation. By taking these precautions, travelers can ensure a smooth travel experience and minimize any potential disruptions during this time of global technical challenges affecting the aviation industry.

In conclusion, the NCA’s proactive measures and strong support from the leadership have played a key role in minimizing the impact of global technical disruptions on national entities in Saudi Arabia. The cybersecurity standards implemented by the authority have significantly enhanced the security and reliability of the Kingdom’s cyberspace, protecting national entities and critical infrastructure. With operations returning to normal at airports across the country and guidance provided to travelers, the NCA and other relevant authorities are working diligently to address cyber threats and ensure the continued safety and security of the Kingdom’s national entities.
