Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization and the Jordanian Hashemite Armed Forces, conducted an airdrop of food aid to the Gaza Strip. The operation was launched to overcome the closure of border crossings by Israeli occupation forces, preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the affected population in Gaza. Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), provided Jordan with parachutes and specialized networks for airdrops, totaling 30 tonnes of food supplies suitable for immediate consumption without the need for heating.

Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, the General Supervisor of KSrelief, emphasized Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian efforts in Gaza. Under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia continues to support the Palestinian people. Dr. Al Rabeeah called for the opening of border crossings to facilitate the delivery of essential humanitarian assistance to those in need, despite the challenges posed by closed land and sea crossings.

Saudi Arabia has launched a donation campaign, driven by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, to support the vulnerable Palestinian population in Gaza. The campaign has raised over $184 million to date. In addition to the airdrop operation, Saudi Arabia has also operated an air bridge with 54 planes and a sea bridge with eight ships to provide continuous humanitarian support to Gaza. Dr. Al Rabeeah expressed his gratitude to the Saudi Arabian government for their exceptional and high-quality humanitarian assistance, which complements international efforts and alleviates the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The airdrop of food aid to Gaza exemplifies the collaborative efforts between Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization and Armed Forces. By utilizing innovative solutions such as airdrops, Saudi Arabia aims to deliver humanitarian aid directly to those in need despite the challenges posed by the closure of border crossings. The food supplies provided are specially designed for immediate consumption, ensuring that the affected population in Gaza receives essential nourishment in a timely manner.

Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah’s announcement highlights the strategic approach taken by Saudi Arabia in addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. By leveraging partnerships with local organizations and armed forces, Saudi Arabia is able to navigate logistical challenges and deliver aid directly to those in need. The airdrop operation underscores Saudi Arabia’s dedication to supporting the Palestinian people and its commitment to providing timely and effective humanitarian assistance in times of crisis.

The ongoing donation campaign led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s sustained efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian population in Gaza. Through a combination of airdrops, air bridges, and sea bridges, Saudi Arabia continues to provide critical humanitarian support to those most affected by conflict and insecurity. Dr. Al Rabeeah’s gratitude towards the Saudi Arabian government reflects the collective commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region through impactful humanitarian interventions.
