Russian Ambassador says Bahrain rejects interference and embraces peaceful coexistence

At a reception celebrating Bahrain’s National Day, Russia’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Alexey Skosyrev, emphasized Bahrain’s stance on rejecting foreign interference and external ideologies. He highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to upholding Islamic traditions while promoting peaceful coexistence between cultures and systems. The Ambassador also pointed out the strong partnership between Bahrain and Russia, citing recent productive talks between President Vladimir Putin and HM the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Moscow. Following the meeting, seven cooperation agreements were signed in sectors like education, healthcare, commerce, and culture, with the Ambassador expressing confidence that these agreements will boost bilateral relations.

The Ambassador also noted the significance of the King choosing Russia as his first destination after the Arab Summit and being the first Arab leader to visit Moscow after Russia’s new president took office. These gestures were greatly appreciated by Russia, demonstrating the strong bond between the two countries. The Ambassador reiterated the value that Russia places on the partnership with Bahrain and expressed optimism about the potential for further strengthening relations through the implementation of the cooperation agreements.

In light of the recent talks and cooperation agreements, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of mutual respect and understanding between Bahrain and Russia. He stressed the need for both countries to continue working together in a spirit of cooperation and friendship to address common challenges and pursue shared goals. The Ambassador also commended Bahrain for its commitment to upholding its Islamic traditions while embracing peaceful coexistence with diverse cultures, noting that this approach fosters harmony and mutual respect within society.
