Ride for Education concludes successfully in Doha, supporting EAA international projects

Doha, Qatar – The Marriott Business Council Qatar recently concluded its 2026 “Ride for Education” event at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, raising funds for the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation. The event, a collaboration with the Qatar Cycling Federation and Qatar Cyclists Centre, drew participation from hotel teams, cycling enthusiasts, and the public. Proceeds will directly support EAA’s international programs focused on providing access to quality education for vulnerable children.

According to the EAA Foundation, their programs prioritize access to primary education, the reintegration of out-of-school children, and maintaining educational continuity in challenging environments. The organization operates in numerous countries, including those across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Supporting EAA’s Global Programs

Funds raised through “Ride for Education 2026” will be allocated to EAA’s various international education programs. These programs address critical barriers to education, such as poverty, displacement, and lack of infrastructure. Specifically, the funds will contribute to initiatives aimed at supporting children from low-income families and ensuring their continued learning.

Parintaj Sulaiman, Resource Mobilisation Executive Director at the Education Above All Foundation, highlighted the significance of community partnerships in advancing educational opportunities. She stated the strong participation demonstrates a shared understanding of the importance of education in fragile and underserved regions. Sulaiman emphasized that investing in education is a crucial step towards building more resilient and stable societies.

The Qatar Cycling Federation and Qatar Cyclists Centre played a vital role in organizing and promoting the event, providing logistical support and encouraging cycling participation. This collaboration demonstrates a growing synergy between sports and philanthropic endeavors in Qatar. The event also benefited from the support of various corporate sponsors, further amplifying its reach and impact.

The hospitality sector in Qatar has increasingly focused on sustainability and social impact initiatives. Education is often a key component of these efforts, recognizing its long-term benefits for individuals and communities. This trend reflects a broader global movement towards responsible tourism and business practices.
