The Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council, in partnership with MATAR, the Qatar Company for Airports Operation and Management, have announced a new open innovation opportunity through the Qatar Open Innovation (QOI) program. The aim of this initiative is to find innovative adaptive and personalized programs for employees that will enhance training and development initiatives. The deadline for proposal submissions is August 8, 2024. Startups, SMEs, and corporates are encouraged to submit proposals for AI-generated meta cognitive assessment solutions that address personalized adaptive micro-learning and enhanced reporting mechanisms.

MATAR has developed a comprehensive competency framework for talent management by using data-driven insights and network analytics for competency proficiency. This framework will support various functions within the organization and empower employees to grow and progress in their careers. Oscar Barranco Liebana, the Enterprise Innovation Program Director at QRDI Council, emphasized the importance of challenge-driven innovation in empowering local enterprises. The collaboration with global innovation partners aims to reduce time-to-market and increase ROI for local businesses.

Sebastian Arkadiusz Wojtun, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at MATAR, highlighted the company’s commitment to invest in its employees and adopt innovative learning and development solutions. The introduction of adaptive learning will support the growth and development of employees in an evolving industry and align with the organization’s growth plans. The partnership with QRDI and the Qatar Open Innovation program will accelerate the acquisition of digital and tailored learning models for MATAR employees.

The Qatar Open Innovation program serves as a platform for startups and innovators to collaborate with government and corporate buyers in co-creating market-ready solutions. This initiative aims to address the nation’s most pressing challenges in the areas of energy, health, resource sustainability, society, and digital technology, as outlined in the QRDI Strategy 2030. By identifying opportunities for innovation collaborations, the program aims to drive economic prosperity and foster a culture of innovation in Qatar.

In conclusion, the collaboration between QRDI Council and MATAR through the Qatar Open Innovation program aims to enhance training and development initiatives for employees through innovative solutions. The emphasis on adaptive learning and personalized programs will support the growth and progression of employees within the organization. By leveraging AI-powered digital tools and data-driven insights, MATAR aims to empower its workforce and meet business needs effectively. The Qatar Open Innovation program provides a platform for startups and innovators to engage with potential buyers and co-create solutions that address the nation’s priority areas, driving economic prosperity and fostering innovation in Qatar.
