Qatar Tourism Awards announces the judges for its second edition

The second edition of the Qatar Tourism Awards is gearing up to honor organizations and individuals who consistently deliver exceptional tourism experiences in Qatar. The distinguished seven-member jury panel includes industry experts such as Sheikha Al Anoud Al Thani, Dr. Abdulla Al Mehshadi, and Ramzan Al Naimi, among others. These judges will evaluate entries across seven primary categories, including Service Excellence, Gastronomic Experiences, and World-Class Events.

Sheikha Al Anoud Al Thani, the Chair of TenX Ventures, is a seasoned businesswoman known for her efforts in attracting foreign direct investment to Qatar. Ali bin Towar Al-Kuwari, a representative of Qatar Museums, has published six books and directed over 400 documentaries. Eng. Azzam Abdulaziz Al Mannai, the CEO of Sport Accelerator, brings over 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry and six years in the Sport Industry to the panel.

Marcel Leijzer, the Deputy Director at UN Tourism, leads the Technical Cooperation and Silk Road Department. Ramzan Al Naimi, an Innovation Expert and Entrepreneur, has over 23 years of experience in the media, marketing, and branding industry. Prof. Rana Sobh, the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University, is a renowned marketing professor with a strong track record in national and international projects.

The Qatar Tourism Awards offer businesses and individuals in the tourism sector the opportunity to showcase their excellence and innovation. Winners of the awards will receive extensive promotion locally, regionally, and internationally, enhancing their visibility on a global scale. The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 27, 2024, and is expected to attract a wide range of entries from across the sector.

The submission process for the Qatar Tourism Awards is straightforward, with applicants required to answer five questions and provide supporting documents. The application portal opened on June 9, with a deadline of August 8, 2024, for submissions. Winning a Qatar Tourism Award is a mark of excellence that can help elevate a business or individual’s reputation in the industry and gain recognition both nationally and internationally.

Overall, the Qatar Tourism Awards serve as a benchmark for excellence in the tourism sector, highlighting the best offerings, services, and innovations in Qatar. By recognizing and celebrating outstanding achievers in the industry, the awards aim to set a standard for tourism in Qatar and enhance the nation’s reputation on the global stage.
