Qatar’s commitment to promoting the rights of women and girls was reiterated by Fatima Al Mannai, Second Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the 56th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva. Al Mannai emphasized the importance of equality, justice, and fairness in enhancing the enjoyment of all rights for women and girls. Qatar has implemented a societal and institutional framework based on religious teachings and cultural values to protect women and girls from all forms of violence.

Al Mannai expressed Qatar’s condemnation of violence and discrimination against women and girls, regardless of the perpetrators or locations of the incidents. She also raised concerns about the prevalence of violence and exploitation facilitated by modern technology and artificial intelligence. In order to address these issues, she emphasized the need for equal access to quality education and fair employment opportunities for women and girls.

In her statement, Al Mannai stressed the importance of addressing the root causes that lead to the vulnerability of women and girls, and preventing their involvement in activities where their rights and dignity are not respected. Qatar has taken significant steps to elevate the status and role of women in society. By providing a safe and supportive environment, Qatar aims to empower women and girls to reach their full potential and contribute to society in a meaningful way.

Qatar’s commitment to promoting and protecting the rights of women and girls is reflected in its unwavering stance on equality, justice, and fairness. Al Mannai highlighted the importance of upholding the dignity of women and ensuring their safety from all forms of violence. By addressing the root causes of vulnerability and providing access to education and employment opportunities, Qatar is working towards creating a more inclusive and empowering environment for women and girls.

As Qatar continues to advocate for the rights of women and girls on the international stage, it is clear that the country is committed to creating a society where women are respected, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive. By emphasizing the principles of equality, justice, and fairness, Qatar is paving the way for a future where all individuals, regardless of gender, can enjoy their rights and freedoms without fear of discrimination or violence.
