Qatar-Kenya Labor Committee holds joint meeting for cooperative discussions

The Qatar-Kenya Joint Labor Committee met in Nairobi today, co-chaired by the Minister of Labor for Qatar, HE Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, and the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Kenya, HE Alfred Mutua. The committee focused on enhancing cooperation in the recruitment of Kenyan workers and increasing reliance on skilled labor to meet the needs of Qatar’s labor market. The ministers expressed pride in the strong relations between the two countries and highlighted the importance of sustaining joint committee meetings to strengthen their strategic partnership.

During the meeting, HE Dr. Al Marri emphasized the significance of continuing joint committee meetings to reinforce bilateral ties. He also noted Qatar’s leading role in labor regulations, following recent reforms that have been praised by international labor organizations and human rights groups. The ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in labor fields and support their development.

The Qatar-Kenya labor agreement was a key focus of the meeting, with discussions on how to implement the agreement effectively. Both countries are committed to building a skilled and trained workforce that aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030. The activation of joint technical committees was highlighted as a way to address challenges and advance collaborative efforts in the future.

HE Dr. Al Marri praised Qatar’s reputation in labor regulations and highlighted the country’s commitment to ongoing reforms. The meeting also addressed the need for continued support and development in the labor field. Both ministers expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in labor matters.

The meeting between HE Dr. Al Marri and HE Alfred Mutua on the sidelines of the Joint Labor Committee meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations in labor fields. The ministers discussed ways to support and develop these relations to benefit both countries. The importance of maintaining regular dialogue and cooperation was emphasized to ensure the success of joint efforts in the future.
