Qatar Executive, the private charter division of Qatar Airways, has made significant strides in the aviation industry by becoming the first carrier to offer the ultra-modern Gulfstream G700 for private charters. The company has already received two G700 aircraft, with more to come in the following weeks, totaling nine in their fleet. Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, the CEO of Qatar Airways Group, emphasized the importance of this delivery, stating that the G700 will enter service in June to connect major economies and key destinations in just one flight.

The G700 boasts ultra-long range capabilities, allowing for non-stop flights between major city pairs. With a range of 7,750 nautical miles and record-breaking speed, the G700 can fly from Doha to New York in just 13.5 hours, catering to Qatar Executive’s discerning customers. The aircraft features a new lighting system, the industry’s lowest cabin pressure altitude, and natural light from 20 windows, enhancing the passenger experience. Equipped with Rolls Royce Pearl 700 engines and an advanced high-speed wing design, the G700 meets sustainability goals by delivering exceptional environmental efficiency.

Gulfstream President Mark Burns expressed his excitement over the partnership with Qatar Executive, highlighting the G700’s spacious cabin, low cabin altitude, fresh air circulation, whisper-quiet noise levels, and panoramic windows. The aircraft’s maximum operating speed of .935 Mach makes it the fastest Gulfstream in the fleet, catering to the demands of high-speed, long-range travel especially in the Middle East region where speed is essential for routes like London to Doha to Singapore. Qatar Airways’ order of the G700 at the Paris Air Show last year, costing $75 million, further solidifies the company’s commitment to offering unmatched luxury and performance in private aviation.

As the aviation industry begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, Qatar Executive is experiencing a surge in demand for private charters. Engr. Al Meer noted that the demand for private jets increased significantly during the pandemic, with people turning to private aviation for travel. The strategic expansion of Qatar Executive’s fleet with additional G700 aircraft is aimed at meeting this growing demand for private charters worldwide, with a strong focus on Europe, the USA, and Asia. The company’s year-over-year growth in commercial sales revenue and flying hours is testament to the increasing popularity of private aviation.

A recent report by Oliver Wyman on the future of commercial aviation indicates substantial growth in the global fleet over the next decade, with the Middle East expected to gain a larger share of the market. The region’s central location, established players, economic diversification plans, and addition of new players are all contributing factors to this growth. Qatar Executive’s partnership with Gulfstream and its exclusive access to the G700 aircraft positions the company well to capitalize on the growing demand for private charters in the Middle East and beyond. With its commitment to sustainability, luxury, and performance, Qatar Executive is set to redefine the private aviation experience for its discerning clientele.
