This meeting brought together representatives from 88 countries and international organizations to discuss the importance of the two-state solution as a foundation for lasting peace in the Middle East. Qatar was represented at the meeting by Dr. Khalid bin Fahad Al Khater and Nayef bin Abdullah Al Emadi, showcasing its commitment to finding a political solution in line with UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution was announced during the United Nations General Assembly in September, highlighting the international community’s dedication to promoting peace and stability in the region. By engaging in these high-level meetings, Qatar is actively contributing to the global dialogue on the two-state solution and working towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

The two-state solution has long been viewed as a viable path towards a lasting peace settlement between Israel and Palestine. By establishing two independent states living side by side in peace and security, this solution aims to address the legitimate rights and aspirations of both parties while ensuring stability and security in the region. Qatar’s involvement in the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution reflects its commitment to upholding international law and finding a political resolution to the longstanding conflict in the Middle East.

The meeting in Riyadh provided an opportunity for participants to exchange views on the current state of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to explore ways to advance the two-state solution. By engaging in discussions with representatives from around the world, Qatar can contribute its expertise and insights to the global efforts to promote peace and security in the region. Through its active participation in initiatives like the Global Alliance, Qatar is able to leverage its diplomatic relationships to support peace-building efforts and to advocate for a just and lasting solution to the conflict.

The Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution serves as a platform for international cooperation and dialogue on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. By bringing together diverse perspectives and voices, this alliance aims to foster understanding, collaboration, and support for the two-state solution. Qatar’s involvement in this initiative underscores its commitment to multilateral diplomacy and its belief in the power of dialogue and cooperation to bring about positive change in the region.
