In celebration of World Population Day, the Permanent Population Committee (PPC) of Qatar, in partnership with Qatar Museums, is holding an event at the National Museum of Qatar. The purpose of this annual event is to raise awareness of population-related issues and emphasize their importance in the context of development plans. The event will bring together members of the PPC, task teams working on population policies, and other individuals interested in population and development issues.

The event will be opened by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al Thani, Director of the National Museum of Qatar. He will highlight the significance of cooperation between Qatar Museums and the PPC, as well as the important role of Qatar museums in preserving the country’s heritage. Sultan Ali Al Kuwari, PPC Vice-Chairman, will also deliver a speech thanking Qatar Museums for hosting the celebration and emphasizing the alignment of World Population Day’s goals with those of Qatar.

Qatar has a strong commitment to population issues, as demonstrated by the Qatar National Vision 2030. This vision aims to develop Qatar’s people to support a prosperous society and has guided the development of national strategies and population policies. These policies are focused on bringing about positive changes in population variables and related issues through various executive plans and programs.

The celebration of World Population Day in Qatar underscores the country’s dedication to building an advanced society rooted in respect for human rights and improving the standard of living for all residents. The event will serve as a platform to advocate for the importance of addressing population-related issues and finding solutions to promote sustainable development in Qatar. It also highlights the collaborative efforts between Qatar Museums and the PPC in raising awareness about population issues.

As Qatar continues to work towards achieving its development goals, events like the World Population Day celebration play a vital role in engaging the community and fostering dialogue on population-related challenges and opportunities. By bringing together key stakeholders and experts in the field, Qatar aims to create a platform for sharing knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions to address population issues and support the country’s vision for a prosperous and sustainable society.

In conclusion, the World Population Day celebration at the National Museum of Qatar serves as a reminder of the importance of population issues in the context of comprehensive development plans. Qatar’s commitment to addressing population challenges and promoting sustainable development is evident through its national strategies and policies. By fostering collaboration and raising awareness about population-related issues, Qatar is positioning itself as a leader in creating a prosperous society that prioritizes the well-being of its residents.
