Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading telecommunications provider, has recently announced an expansion of its partnership with Seashore Group, an e-waste disposal and recycling service provider. This collaboration highlights a shared commitment to environmental responsibility and the sustainable management of electronic waste in Qatar. The partnership was solidified through the signing of an agreement for recycling and CSR activities of mutual interest, demonstrating Ooredoo’s dedication to integrating sustainability into its operational practices.

By partnering with Seashore Group, Ooredoo aims to spearhead digital transformation while promoting sustainable practices that have a positive impact on society and the environment. The initiative builds upon a successful pilot project that was launched in 2023, allowing customers to bring their unwanted devices to selected Ooredoo shops for collection by Seashore Group. In return, customers received Nojoom Points as a reward. This initiative was recognized for its Outstanding Commitment to CSR at the Qatar CSR Award Ceremony, showcasing the positive reception from the community.

Under the new agreement, Ooredoo Qatar will enhance its e-waste collection, disposal, and recycling processes, ensuring that Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) generated from its operations is managed responsibly. Seashore Group will continue to provide its expertise in processing e-waste in an environmentally sound manner. Additionally, the partnership will include e-waste collection drives, employee engagement programs, and public awareness campaigns to educate the community on the importance of responsible e-waste recycling.

This partnership between Ooredoo and Seashore Group marks a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability in Qatar. By addressing the issue of e-waste management, the companies are contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations. Through their joint efforts, they strive to set an example for other organizations to follow in adopting sustainable practices and responsible waste management.

As a leading telecommunications provider in Qatar, Ooredoo is committed to leveraging its resources and influence to drive positive change in the community. By collaborating with Seashore Group, Ooredoo is taking proactive steps towards reducing its environmental footprint and promoting responsible recycling practices. The partnership signifies a shared vision for a greener and more sustainable future for Qatar.

In conclusion, the expanded partnership between Ooredoo and Seashore Group underscores a shared commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability in Qatar. By working together on e-waste disposal and recycling initiatives, the companies are paving the way for a more environmentally conscious business environment. Through their collaborative efforts, Ooredoo and Seashore Group are not only reducing the impact of e-waste on the environment but also raising awareness and promoting responsible recycling practices within the community.
