Ooredoo Qatar, the leading telecommunications company in Qatar, has partnered with Qatar Airways and Cisco to implement a state-of-the-art hybrid cloud environment. This collaboration aims to redefine the aviation industry’s digital landscape by introducing advanced applications to enhance the customer experience and improve business performance. The project will leverage Ooredoo’s robust network infrastructure to integrate Cisco’s innovative networking, security, and cloud technologies into Qatar Airways’ IT infrastructure.

As a Cisco Gold Integrator and Managed Services Partner, Ooredoo will assist Qatar Airways in migrating their data center to the cloud and designing a tailored hybrid cloud environment. This will help improve operational efficiency, scalability, and agility for the airline. Thani I A Al Malki, Chief Business Officer of Ooredoo, emphasized the commitment to innovation and the digital revolution in Qatar with this collaboration. The partnership aims to set new standards of excellence in the aviation sector and drive continuous innovation and opportunities for customers in today’s digital world.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Information Officer, AT Srinivasan, noted that the digital transformation underway within the organization will drive innovation and enhance customer service. Leveraging Ooredoo’s expertise and Cisco’s solutions will power the network fabric of Qatar Airways’ Hybrid Cloud environment, supporting future business growth. Cisco’s cutting-edge technologies, such as ACI and SD-WAN solutions, will be implemented to ensure applications assurance, operational visibility, and secure cloud connectivity across data centers and branch sites.

Hasan Khan, General Manager at Cisco Qatar, expressed excitement about collaborating with Ooredoo and Qatar Airways on this groundbreaking project in the aviation industry. The partnership showcases a forward-looking approach to digital transformation, innovation, and delivering superior customer experience. With Cisco’s global expertise and local market presence, the project aims to address the strategic priorities of Qatar Airways and drive significant advancements in the aviation sector. The alliance between Ooredoo, Qatar Airways, and Cisco signifies a bold commitment to driving innovation and shaping the future of digital infrastructure in Qatar.
