Flash floods in Jazan Valley have resulted in the collapse of a section of the Jazan Valley Bridge, connecting Abu Arish and Sabya towards Radis. This unfortunate incident caused the fall of two vehicles, leading to one fatality and several injuries. The injured individuals have been transported by ambulance teams for necessary medical care. Specialized teams from the National Center for Transport Safety are on their way to the incident site to conduct investigations and uncover the circumstances and causes of the collapse. Eyewitnesses have noted signs of sand excavation near the bridge’s foundations, attributing the collapse to the strong floods eroding the bases.

In response to the floods and rains, authorities have been busy dealing with multiple incidents. These include the collapse of roofs of commercial buildings, flooding of homes, and vehicles becoming stranded or trapped. The Special Forces for Road Security have diverted traffic to alternative routes in both directions due to the damage to the Radis Bridge. They are urging the public to follow instructions from field teams and adhere to traffic regulations. The Jazan Civil Defense Directorate has stressed the importance of following safety measures and avoiding approaching valleys during this time. They have also highlighted the dangers of lightning and electrical shorts during rainfall.

The rain in the Jazan region and its governorates has been ongoing for the second consecutive day, with floods flowing westward through the central governorates and villages towards the sea. It is a challenging time for the residents and authorities in the area, with the need for swift and effective response to the ongoing natural disaster. It is crucial for everyone to stay informed, follow safety protocols, and cooperate with authorities to ensure the well-being of all individuals in the affected areas.

As the investigation into the Jazan Valley Bridge collapse progresses, it is essential to identify the root causes and take necessary measures to prevent future incidents. This tragic event serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of natural disasters and the importance of being prepared for such emergencies. With the collaboration of various agencies and the community, it is possible to mitigate the effects of such disasters and ensure the safety and security of all individuals in the region.

In conclusion, the recent flash floods in Jazan Valley have had devastating consequences, including the collapse of the Jazan Valley Bridge. The authorities are working tirelessly to address the various incidents caused by the floods and provide assistance to those affected. It is a challenging time for the residents and authorities in the area, with the need for quick and efficient response to the ongoing natural disaster. By following safety measures, staying informed, and cooperating with authorities, we can ensure the well-being of everyone in the affected areas and work towards preventing similar incidents in the future.
