The National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) is cracking down on the illegal production of charcoal and firewood from wood and tree waste resulting from pruning and maintenance activities. Those caught selling, transporting, or storing such materials without a license could face fines of up to SR8,000 under the executive regulations of the Environmental Law. The NCVC plays a crucial role in combating illegal logging by deploying inspection teams to monitor vegetation cover sites in forests, pastures, and national parks, apprehending violators and drying up local firewood markets.

The NCVC is committed to developing, protecting, monitoring, and rehabilitating vegetation cover sites across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Part of its mission is to detect encroachments and combat illegal logging, ensuring sustainable practices in the management of pasture lands, forests, and national parks. By imposing fines on violators of the Environmental Law and its regulations, the NCVC is actively contributing to the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative and promoting environmentally-friendly practices.

Illegal logging poses a significant threat to the environment, leading to deforestation and habitat destruction. The NCVC’s inspection teams work tirelessly to enforce laws and regulations aimed at preserving vegetation cover and combating desertification. By cracking down on the illegal production of charcoal and firewood, the NCVC is taking a proactive stance in protecting the Kingdom’s natural resources and promoting sustainable development.

In addition to policing illegal logging activities, the NCVC also plays a key role in monitoring vegetation cover sites and rehabilitating areas that have been affected by encroachment. By investing in the management of pasture lands, forests, and national parks, the NCVC is contributing to the overall conservation efforts in the Kingdom. The organization’s dedication to preserving the environment and combating desertification is in line with the broader goals of the Saudi Green Initiative, which aims to promote a more sustainable future for the country.

The NCVC’s efforts to combat illegal logging and protect vegetation cover sites are crucial in safeguarding the Kingdom’s natural resources. By enforcing regulations on the production of charcoal and firewood, the organization is sending a clear message that illegal activities will not be tolerated. Through its inspection teams and monitoring efforts, the NCVC is working to ensure that sustainable practices are followed in the management of forests, pastures, and national parks, paving the way for a greener and more environmentally-friendly future in Saudi Arabia.

In conclusion, the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification is at the forefront of efforts to protect the environment and preserve natural resources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By cracking down on illegal logging activities and enforcing regulations on the production of charcoal and firewood, the NCVC is making a significant impact in promoting sustainable development and achieving the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative. Through its dedication to monitoring, protecting, and rehabilitating vegetation cover sites, the NCVC is playing a vital role in safeguarding the Kingdom’s diverse ecosystems and combating desertification.
