The first phase of the plan to transport pilgrims to the Holy Sites has been successfully implemented, with pilgrims being transported from the Grand Mosque and Makkah to Mina to spend the Day of Tarwiyah. Additionally, 135,098 vehicles have been sent back for various violations from May 4 until Friday. Al-Shalhoub also mentioned that 6,135 violators of residency, work, and border security regulations were apprehended in Makkah city from April 19 until Friday.
The spokesman provided statistics on the number of non-residents of Makkah and visit visa holders who were sent back during the same period. A total of 250,381 non-residents of Makkah and 256,481 visit visa holders have been repatriated as part of efforts to ensure the integrity of the pilgrimage. These measures are crucial in maintaining the security and sanctity of the Holy Sites during the Hajj season.
