Doha, Qatar – The Ministry of Labour in Qatar has issued a directive to employers, urging increased safety precautions for outdoor workers due to anticipated adverse weather conditions. This follows a warning from the Qatar Meteorology Department on January 15, 2026, forecasting strong winds, potential rainfall, and blowing dust across several areas. The marine forecast also indicates significantly elevated wave heights, posing risks to coastal operations.
