The Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies (CLJS) of the Ministry of Justice in Doha, Qatar recently organized two training courses for jurists from various ministries and government agencies. The first course focused on developing skills related to authentication and authentication of documents, while the second course aimed to combat crimes related to public jobs. The training courses were designed to enhance the legal and practical skills of participants in these important areas, with a focus on practical application and maximizing benefits for the ministries and government institutions.

The first training course, titled “Skills for Documentation and Authentication of Documents,” provided participants with knowledge on document authentication, controls, methods of proof, and relevant legal provisions. The course covered general provisions for authenticating and authenticating documents, as well as the legal requirements for authenticating agencies and company incorporation contracts. Participants also learned about electronic authentication and the duties of the authentication service provider to enhance electronic signatures.

The second training course focused on combating crimes related to public office, aiming to develop the skills of public employees in addressing crimes against public funds and the negative effects on the national economy. Participants learned about types of crimes related to the public job, the dangers of embezzlement of public money, and the impact of corruption on the public interest. The course also covered the role of legal and supervisory authorities in combating administrative corruption and the procedures for investigating public office crimes.

Dr. Saleh Ali Al Fadala, Director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, emphasized the importance of these specialized training courses in developing the legal skills of researchers and legal specialists. He highlighted the Center’s commitment to meeting the country’s training needs in alignment with the national development strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030. The Center aims to prepare qualified national cadres in various legal fields, enhancing the specialized technical skills and expertise of jurists in government agencies.

Under the guidance of His Excellency Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the CLJS is dedicated to providing specialized programs and courses that cater to the practical and applied aspects of legal training. The Center’s offerings are designed to meet the training needs of government institutions, ensuring that participants benefit from the courses and contribute to the country’s human development goals. By focusing on practical skills and expertise, the Center aims to enhance the capabilities of legal professionals and support the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
