The Saudi Ministry of Justice has initiated registration for the 2nd International Conference on Justice, focusing on “Judicial Quality,” scheduled to take place in Riyadh on November 23-24. The event, held under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, is expected to attract legal experts and professionals from over 40 countries.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, which examined the future of justice in the context of digital transformation, the conference aims to facilitate discussions on advancing judicial systems and enhancing performance quality. According to the ministry, the event will feature more than 50 distinguished speakers participating in panel discussions to share their expertise.

Advancing Judicial Quality

The conference will focus on showcasing leading international practices and experiences in judicial quality, as well as strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability across justice systems. By bringing together experts from diverse backgrounds, the event seeks to promote knowledge exchange and global judicial cooperation.

However, the challenges facing judicial systems worldwide are complex and multifaceted. In many countries, issues such as case backlogs, lengthy trial times, and unequal access to justice remain pressing concerns. The conference is expected to address these issues through its various panel discussions and presentations.

Enhancing Efficiency and Reliability

International Cooperation and Knowledge Sharing

One of the key objectives of the conference is to facilitate the sharing of best practices and experiences among judicial professionals. By doing so, the event aims to promote international cooperation and collaboration in the pursuit of judicial quality. The conference will cover various aspects of judicial quality, including the use of technology to improve court efficiency and the importance of transparency in judicial decision-making.

Meanwhile, the role of digital transformation in shaping the future of justice is likely to be a significant theme at the conference. As courts around the world increasingly adopt digital technologies, the need for effective strategies to manage the associated challenges and opportunities will grow.

Additionally, the conference will provide a platform for discussing the importance of judicial independence and impartiality. Ensuring that justice systems are free from external influences and biases is crucial for maintaining public trust and confidence.

Judicial Quality in Practice

The conference will feature a range of case studies and presentations highlighting successful initiatives to improve judicial quality. These examples are expected to provide valuable insights and practical guidance for judicial professionals seeking to enhance the performance of their respective systems.

In contrast to the first edition, which focused on the future of justice, the second conference will place greater emphasis on the practical implementation of judicial quality initiatives. This shift in focus reflects the growing recognition of the need for concrete actions to improve justice systems.

The Saudi Ministry of Justice has stated that registration for the conference is now open, and interested parties can secure their participation through the event’s official website. As the conference approaches, further details on the program and speakers are expected to be released.

With the 2nd International Conference on Justice just around the corner, the next step will be the actual event, where experts will gather to discuss and shape the future of judicial systems. The outcomes of the conference are expected to be closely watched by judicial professionals and policymakers worldwide, particularly in terms of the strategies and recommendations that emerge for enhancing judicial quality and promoting international cooperation. The report indicates that the conference’s success will depend on the active participation of its attendees and the quality of the discussions that take place. While the exact outcomes are uncertain, the event is likely to contribute to ongoing efforts to improve justice systems globally.
