MECC attends meetings of CITES Animals and Plants Committees

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) of Geneva recently took part in the Animals and Plants Committees meetings of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in Geneva. These meetings, which were held from July 8-19, focused on assessing the status of species listed under the convention and determining the best course of action to protect them from illegal trade and maintain their natural habitats.
