Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman recently highlighted the importance of providing the best facilities and services for the Hajj pilgrims to ensure their comfort and ease during their pilgrimage. Serving the Grand Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque, and taking care of their visitors are top priorities for the Kingdom. The King instructed authorities to continue offering the best facilities and services at various entry points, as well as in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, and the Holy Sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

The Cabinet was briefed on recent talks held by Saudi officials with representatives from various countries, including a phone call between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They discussed bilateral relations and mutual concerns. The Cabinet also discussed current developments on the regional and international stages, and emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to cooperating with the international community to ensure global security and stability.

The Council approved several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) related to exchange of information on criminal records, visa requirements, and cooperation in various fields such as finance, education, and health. These agreements aim to strengthen ties with other countries and promote collaboration in different sectors. The Cabinet also endorsed Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University’s membership in the League of Islamic Universities and its Executive Council.

The Cabinet authorized officials to sign various agreements with countries like Costa Rica, the Republic of Malta, Vietnam, and the Slovak Republic, aimed at enhancing cooperation in areas such as taxation, education, and air transport services. These agreements will further strengthen ties between Saudi Arabia and these nations and facilitate mutual understanding and collaboration. The Council also approved an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation on income with the Slovak Republic.

In a move to combat corruption and promote transparency, the Cabinet authorized the president of the Saudi Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Federal Integrity Commission of Iraq. This agreement highlights the Kingdom’s commitment to preventing and combating corruption at all levels. Additionally, the Cabinet approved an MoU between the Saudi General Court of Audit and the National Audit Office of China for cooperation in accounting, supervisory, and professional work.

The Cabinet also approved amending the organization of the National Authority for the Implementation of Chemical and Biological Weapons Conventions, with the Authority’s Council now being headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. This change aims to enhance the implementation of conventions related to chemical and biological weapons. Furthermore, the Real Estate General Authority was granted the authority to allocate state real estate for the benefit of the non-profit sector, following approved guidelines from the authority’s Board of Directors.
