One of the speakers, Maryam Mohammed Majarrah, the owner of Southtech Technology Solutions and Southtech Security Systems, emphasized the importance of understanding artificial intelligence (AI) and its benefits in her presentation. She highlighted AI’s role in the digital transformation strategy for smart cities, involving computer systems that simulate human intelligence.

Majarrah explained that AI includes processes such as learning, reasoning, and self-correction, with specific applications performing tasks like problem-solving and decision-making. She emphasized the significance of advanced analytics in improving decision-making processes, enhancing customer service, reducing costs, mitigating risks, and fostering innovation and creativity through increased efficiency. Digital transformation involves integrating digital technologies into all aspects of an organization’s operations to bring about a fundamental change in how work is conducted and achieve desired values. She noted that this transformation is both strategic and cultural, focusing on leveraging technology to enhance business performance, efficiency, and innovation.

The implementation of AI and digital transformation presents significant opportunities and challenges, requiring a comprehensive approach that considers economic, social, ethical, and environmental dimensions.
