Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will open its Sealine medical clinic for the 2024/2025 winter camping season in Qatar, marking its 15th consecutive year of operation. The clinic will operate every weekend from Thursday to Saturday, providing medical and emergency services to beachgoers and campers in the Sealine and Khor Al Adaid areas. The clinic’s convenient location on the Sealine beachfront allows easy access for patients and visitors, emphasizing HMC’s commitment to providing year-round healthcare for all Qatar residents.

Hassan Mohammad Al Hail, Chief Communications Officer at HMC, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change for their cooperation on the Sealine clinic project. He also urged visitors to follow safety guidelines, especially when swimming, barbecuing, or preparing food, to ensure a safe camping experience. The clinic is fully equipped with necessary supplies and medications, with a physician and nurse on-site during operating hours. For severe cases, patients are transferred to the hospital via ambulance or air ambulance, depending on the situation.

Dr. Warda Ali Alsaad, Senior Consultant of Emergency Medicine at HMC, highlighted the clinic’s ability to handle a variety of cases, from mild to moderate, including colds, gastrointestinal issues, and minor burns and injuries. In cases of severe or critical conditions, patients are immediately transferred to the hospital for further treatment. Saleh Nasser Al Mgareh, Assistant Executive Director of Ambulance Service for Events and Emergency Planning at HMC, mentioned the availability of ambulance coverage in the Sealine area 24/7, with specialized medical teams deployed to ensure comprehensive medical coverage during the camping season.

The Ambulance Service increases the number of ambulances in the Sealine camping area during weekends and special events, deploying a total of six regular ambulances and five four-wheel-drive ambulances to ensure timely responses across sandy terrain. Air ambulance services are also available, with specialized medical teams including paramedics, critical care paramedics, and operations managers ensuring efficient emergency responses. The deployment of these teams follows established emergency leadership and control systems, guaranteeing comprehensive medical coverage throughout the camping season.

Overall, the Sealine medical clinic at the Hamad Medical Corporation provides essential medical services to beachgoers and campers in the Sealine and Khor Al Adaid areas during the winter camping season. With a focus on safety and efficiency, the clinic is equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies, ensuring that visitors can enjoy a safe and enjoyable camping experience. The continuous cooperation between HMC and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, along with the deployment of specialized medical teams and ambulance services, highlights the commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to all residents and visitors in Qatar.
