His Majesty the King Visits Moscow, Enhances Relations with Russia

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa recently visited Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discuss the historical relationship between Bahrain and Russia, as well as current global and regional issues. The visit, which was at the invitation of President Putin, included a ceremonial reception upon the King’s arrival at Vnukovo International Airport. During the visit, King Hamad expressed his appreciation for the invitation and praised the strong cooperation and relations between the two countries.

Accompanied by a Russian Air Force escort, King Hamad’s official state visit to Russia was met with a warm welcome by Russian officials, including Mikhail Bogdanov, Igor Bogdashev, and Ambassador Alexey Skosyrev. The visit also highlighted the close ties between Bahrain and Russia, as well as the mutual respect shared between the two nations. The ceremony included the performance of both countries’ national anthems, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic relations.

In his statement, King Hamad commended Russia for its prominent position on the global stage under President Putin’s leadership. He also praised Russia’s role in promoting international peace and security, as well as its economic and development advancements. The visit also highlighted both countries’ commitment to strengthening their bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for collaboration in various sectors.

Following his visit to Russia, King Hamad is scheduled to travel to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping to attend the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum. The purpose of the visit is to discuss joint cooperation between Bahrain and China, as well as to address current regional and international developments. The visit aims to enhance ties between the two countries and promote dialogue on important global issues.

Overall, King Hamad’s visit to Russia and upcoming visit to China underscore Bahrain’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with key international partners.
