The Police Academy in Doha, Qatar recently celebrated multiple milestones in the presence of HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force. The ceremony included the graduation of the ninth mandatory qualifying course for male graduates of civil universities, the second for female graduates, and the fourth group of graduates from the “Police of Tomorrow” program. The ceremony featured a visual film highlighting the graduates’ journey from recruitment to training completion, which included theoretical and practical aspects of police work. Graduates took an oath to defend and serve the nation.

Certificates were presented to 96 male and female officer candidates from the Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya Force by HE the Minister of Interior. Major Eid Bulayhin Hazam Al Qahtani, the course commander, emphasized the comprehensive nature of the training program, which covered theoretical, scientific, legal, and practical police training. In a speech on behalf of the graduates, Officer Candidate Abdullah Abdulaziz Al Ansari praised the training program and efforts to prepare them for their professional roles in alignment with international standards.

The graduation ceremony of the fourth group of the fifth edition of the “Police of Tomorrow” program, attended by HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, included around 400 students. The program showcased films on cybersecurity, the fight against cybercrimes, and efforts in combating drug trafficking. Live demonstrations of self-defense and shooting skills highlighted the advanced training received by the participants, including military and sports exercises, educational lectures, and field visits to enhance their skills and national identity.

The “Police of Tomorrow” program aims to instill authentic Arab and Islamic values, enhance loyalty and belonging among youths, and develop self-confidence through integrated training and education. The event underscores the Police Academy’s commitment to producing highly skilled officers capable of meeting modern policing demands. The program includes a combination of physical training, educational materials, and practical skills to prepare participants for the challenges of law enforcement in today’s society.

In conclusion, the recent milestones celebrated at the Police Academy in Qatar demonstrate the commitment to producing well-rounded officers equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to serve and protect their nation. The graduation ceremonies for various training courses, including the “Police of Tomorrow” program, highlight the dedication to preparing officers for the challenges of modern policing. With a focus on theoretical, legal, and practical police training, the academy ensures that graduates are equipped to uphold their duty to defend and serve their community effectively.
