The Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar has received recognition as an Accredited Center of Excellence (ACE) by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) for the fourth time. This accreditation signifies that the Ambulance Service at HMC is meeting or exceeding the industry’s established standards, showcasing a deep understanding of its operating environment, strong quality processes, and a commitment to data-driven improvement.

The rigorous accreditation process involves a thorough evaluation by industry experts and a final review by the IAED to ensure that HMC’s Ambulance Service is adhering to 20 different accreditation points. This recognition reflects HMC’s dedication to providing top-quality emergency care to the community of Qatar, highlighting their commitment to excellence in emergency medical services.

Mr. Abdulaziz Fadol Saleh Al-Salahi Alyafei, Assistant Executive Director of Communication at HMC’s National Command Center, expressed pride in achieving this milestone for the fourth time, attributing it to the visionary framework of Qatar Vision 2030 and the hard work of their dedicated staff. The reaffirmation of their commitment to excellence plays a crucial role in enhancing the trust and safety of the people of Qatar.

The accolade was formally acknowledged at an event in Maryland, US, with HMC’s reaccreditation being valid for three years. During this period, the Ambulance Service is committed to maintaining the high standards set by the IAED, continuing to utilize the Priority Dispatch System, a protocol-based system recognized as the standard of care for emergency dispatch in 46 countries.

The IAED’s Priority Dispatch System ensures that each emergency call is handled efficiently and effectively, providing vital support to both emergency responders and the community they serve. HMC’s dedication to upholding these international standards demonstrates their unwavering commitment to providing top-quality emergency medical services and further solidifies their position as a leader in the field.
