Thousands of Bahrainis benefitted from a variety of social services in the first four months of 2024, with initiatives focused on family consultations, disability support, and community development. More than 3,900 individuals attended awareness lectures, while 358 families were able to reach amicable agreements through the Ministry of Social Development. Additionally, custody issues involving 59 children were resolved, and numerous individuals received rehabilitation and physiotherapy services. It is noted that the Ministry of Social Development has actively engaged with civil society and the private sector to ensure these initiatives are aligned with the National Economic Strategy 2030, prioritizing community well-being and family stability in Bahrain.
The Ministry facilitated 1,494 family consultations during the period, with 31 agreements achieved through the family care program. These agreements benefited 358 families and 625 children, demonstrating the positive impact of the Ministry’s efforts. Furthermore, they managed 44 custody transfer rulings, which directly impacted 59 children, and conducted 18 developmental programs that reached 642 participants. The Ministry’s commitment to family and childhood development was also highlighted through organizing 84 educational lectures, 123 training courses for family development, and 126 sessions for children and youth attended by thousands of individuals.
