The Indian Club’s annual May Queen Pageant concluded on May 31, 2024, with a spectacular event that showcased the talent and beauty of 25 contestants. The pageant, organized in three phases, saw a record number of participants this year due to the removal of the age barrier, allowing women aged 16 and older to compete. The theme of this year’s pageant was Womanhood, encouraging women from all walks of life to participate, regardless of their profession.
The event was title sponsored by BFC and powered by MediaPro International, with support from African Eastern, Diva (Chennai, India), R&B, and H&H. Entertainment was provided by Gulf Good News, while travel arrangements were taken care of by Al Murshed Travel & Tourism, and culinary support by Barani Restaurant. The event attracted an audience of over 2,000 to The Club’s open ground.
The results of the May Queen 2024 pageant saw Astral Cutinha crowned as the May Queen, with Ishika Pradeep as the 1st Runner-up, Mary Annin Jacob as the 2nd Runner-up, Gunj Mangle as the 3rd Runner-up, Lakshmi Sudheer as the 4th Runner-up, and Shilpa Biju as the 5th Runner-up. Subtitles were awarded for various categories such as Beautiful Smile, Best Catwalk, Audience Choice, Photogenic, Best National Costume, Vivacious, Congeniality, Talent, and Propaganda.
